Yeah, I'm sure after you get cancer and read the small print on your chemotherapy you will resist the temptation and just not go through with it.

You don't know anything about me. I know what chemotherapy does after watching a close family member go through it. I'd definitely go through it if it gave me more time on this earth.

Side note - folks, before this degenerates, so far as I know, I'm the only active member of this community who has directly had chemotherapy. Not someone in my family - me, personally. (And active - R.I.P., Bear!) And yeah, I read the fine print on my chemotherapy.

If I didn't take it, I was going to die. Gee - what a choice. Have them inject an assortment of chemical poison in my body that potentially could damage my kidneys, my reproductive organs, and cause all sorts of nasty side effects (like my hair and teeth falling out) - and it would (at the time) give me about a 90% chance of survival - or I die. Key note - this was long enough ago that my treatment WAS still classified as experimental - 10 years prior to my having cancer, it had a 90% mortality rate. Now nearly 3 decades later, it has nearly a 99% CURE rate if caught in time.

So let's not go down that cancer road, shall we? Please?
