So after drowning in seas of paperwork on the Eidolon, I received an ‘emergency call’ from Hunt concerning a ‘personal emergency’ about Aria. I packed my equipment and put on my armor and hurried off to Honshu. Annoyingly, the worker bots didn’t get to change the fuel tank on my Prosecutor, so in Sigma-13, I ran out of fuel and had to make a pit spot to refuel and to quickly buy a tank replacement. Bastard thing cost £400,000. Either way, I spent around twenty minutes trying to get that fixed up, when I finally did, I continued my little voyage to Planet Honshu.

But when I got there, oh boy, did I ever make a mistake of not stopping to think that this was a surprise and that it was on /Honshu/. It. Was. Hot.

Landing on the designated docking area, we entered the tower building, the reception being noticeably empty. How suspicious. We continued on upstairs, reaching the entrance doors, Hunt pushed open the doors and blam, confetti, a big ‘Happy Birthday’ banner, and people around. I’m amazed. Noah and Inge in one room together.

To summon up the party, we spoke, we ate roast turkey, and had cake for dessert. Though, I couldn’t help notice when I was inspecting the blade, that Noah was giving off… dark auras. His body posture was off, his eyes looked cold - paranoid - afraid. I put the blade away after seeing him act in such way. Perhaps it was from his past? Or his job? Afterall - we did find out on the Eidolon that he’s actually Johan Lennox, heh.

Hunt wanted to see me in private, he showed me to the quarters and revealed the hidden dragon workshop. He fixed up my old blade and improved it. I… like that he did that, but he’s hurting a relic of mine. Oh well… Guess old things are old. Eh. When I dropped the blade, it was noticeable that it embedded into the floor granite, the diamond material of course adding to that sharpness. Heh.

So, Bretonia has requested our help with the Hessians. Of course they’d attack Bretonia, the bloody thirsty mongrels… We moved the Eidolon to the area of Cambridge, approaching with the Norfolk to get a secure communication line as their original message got completely corrupted. Speaking with some of the local cadets, they don’t seem to know why the Hessians attacked, eh.

We received the word that we have permission to roam the borders of Bretonia, and to only enter when they are in need of assistance. We set up a relay buoy in the ice field, on a big chunk of ice to hopefully secure the communication line. Of course, we’ll remove it when this whole mess is over.

Ah well. I wasn’t really listening properly, but apparently Noah said something about Inge, that she isn’t who she says to be. She’s Schwungvoll. Buro agent. I’ll admit, I did and didn’t see that coming. Looks like Koch might be after the Dawnbreaker after all huh? No surprise, Geoff did explicitly state his hatred towards it and wished for it’s removal.

Huh.

I wonder if she actually sees us as friends, or if that was a facade. Perhaps I could attempt to convert her. Who knows. We’ll see.

Hunt got his armor on and invited her to the bridge of the Eidolon, grabbing out his gun and started to intimidate her. She was afraid, unsure, being scared that they may be found out. After Hunt reassured me that the gun was empty, I went back to working on some data files to transfer to the IRG, completely ignoring Hunt and Inge - I started looking at this image of Destiny’s Eye from the uplink - but…

Then….




I saw it

It was here. Why? How? What? What for?



I admit, I was… scared. But I’m reassuring myself that it was a coincidence. I looked up to see it in the distance, the noise of Hunt and Inge washing out of my hearing, the only thing I could think of is them and just how aware their senses truly are. I saw it running around in the distance a couple of times. But… later on… some anomalous activity was detected in the system sector. Masses of energy and gravitational disturbances. We all set off to scout out what it was, finally locating the source of it.



A lair that was folded in, and the Eye lurking around. It seemed that they wanted to give a message, a warning to everyone. So… I guess… it was just a coincidence. Slightly calming.

I noted down and recorded what was said, they seemed to intend to persuade others to not harm their kind - to not get in the way, and to simply leave them be - and people who do that, will be unharmed. It’s still somewhat curious though. The eye and the structure seemed to ‘vanish’ after they were done with their little message. Why startle the locals for this message? Was that object an illusion? Was it real? Was it a foresight of the future - of what is to come? Or am I worrying too much, induced naturally by my animalistic instincts of maternity? Either way, I still await for their move on Akabat as foreshown, the ‘energy’ fired from afar, wiping out the ‘darkened ones’. Just to validate their claims.

Though… I have a very strong feeling that we’re next if Hunt continues on the Dawnbreaker. Which he will be, and - good god, I don’t want to be here to witness that. I need a backup location to hide away for when all hell breaks loose.

I may have uh… forgotten to take my medication. I spent some times in the hidden tunnels, the south network. I went to the ‘safe house’ - which is just the maintenance shaft room. It’s rather cosy there, but uh… I… kept watching Aria and Hunt.

Beginning a start of another mental episode, a continuation of the feelings that I experienced when Inge, Noah and Hunt were talking. Everything felt cold, the walls pressing in, the air getting thin, the hair on my skin felt stiff, my heart slowing, goosebumps forming.
