She giggled at the mention of personal victory. "Seeing how we both ended up i'd hardly call it a victory." She rubbed against her tattood number again. "Mine did hurt a lot, yeah. It stung for about 4 days. Then it turned into some nagging-ish pain." She scoffed thinking about the man tattooing her. "He didnt like tattooing me. I gave him an elbow in the face the second he put that needle in me. They had to restrain me to keep me still!" She chuckled. "As for how i got down here. Now thats a story. As you might've guessed by my accent, I'm from Rheinland. More or less.. I was born in Omega 54, on Wolfsburg Shipyard." She pulled off her hood, finally revealing her face fully. "My parents, Ulfric and Gerda were kind people. Took me with em on several trips across the Omegas and Omicrons. They were smugglers for the Hessians you see. Then one day, as they were hauling a load of stuff from Dresden towards the Tau's, we were ambushed by an Outcast cruiser halfway along Tau-29. They boarded the ship, and shot everyone that even tried to lift a finger to them. Once they had disarmed the crew, they confronted my parents on the bridge. They were looking for 'workers' you see.. Preferably young ones. They wanted me. I was only 7 years old, but I would do, apparantly. Of course, my father resisted this, so he was shot in the stomach." She sniffs once, just thinking back about it. "Then my mother tried to stop them, so they shot her too. Damn basterds." One tear dropped from the eye that wasnt visible to Michelle. "So they took me, and the remaining outcasts strapped the crew to whatever they could find. Once i was aboard their cruiser, they sent in 2 torpedoes, completely destroying the Pilgrim of my parents. Everyone onboard.. D-died." She coughs, trying to mask her onsetting sadness. "They took me to Malta, where I was put on a market, similar to yours. I was sold to the puffed up arrogant son of a.. You know... Our boss. He straightaway put me to work here. 7 years old, forced to work those damn fields of poison. It was not just the work that got to us, but also the physical abuse. I myself was never whipped. They liked to hit me with clubs and their knees and boots. This, and the .. unspeakable things. Only did i see signs of freedom when Juan, a captured Corsair set foot. Led by Carina, a captured bretonian girl, we made a break for it. And yeah, they left me behind here. Not sure why. But thats the story of me, basically."
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
