The next few days that followed were quite tough for Michelle to handle, as she had not really ever went out to surviving in the wild before. Even so, she managed doing quite well and had gotten plenty of rest. Most of her woulds had healed up and she was feeling less pain. When she heard from the radio that they could be rescued soon, she lit up with a beaming face and thought it would be really easy. This, though, proved to not be true.
She dashed through the forest after Linda and ran quickly into the next bush just out of view of the patrol ship. She gasped for breath and rubbed her arm where a few more twigs had poked her skin. "Oh god... we ... can't give up now... so close..." She whispered back between heaving breaths. She bent down and rubbed her leg where the chains were still covered and her ankle soar from the metal to skin friction. "Stupid... stupid cuffs..." She grumbled to herself. "Now what...?" She looked up, asking Linda.
