Dear Mr Shepard;

I'm Anita Raichert, Director of Shipping for ALG Waste Disposal.
While we would be happy in principle to make shipments of ore to Oceana, your request is entirely outside the realm of possibility for a number of reasons.
First, the only economical source would have to be the Humboldt system, as Oceana is far too distant from Omega-7. The IMG does not operate in Humboldt as the ore fields in the system are owned by Deep Space Engineering.
Even if they did receive permission for mining operations, we have no real base of operations at an appropriate distance.
And while relations with DSE have warmed up somewhat, I doubt they would be willing to partner in the mining business - and I'm not sure our board of directors would agree to such a venture either.

Even if all these issues were somehow addressed and we could organize an efficient mining operation in Humboldt, the price you offer is completely uneconomical. The distance between the field and Oceana was calculated and found to be longer than many full-length ore shipping routes we regularly take, such as hauling Beryllium from Cambridge to New Berlin - routes that pay in the realm of seven to eight thousand credits per unit. I'm afraid there is no way to economically store Silver Ore at Oceana.
