No sooner did Doc finished when some regulars wanted Doc to "play hard." He only grinned as he got started with a solo.
He said nothing and just played: Root Beer Rag
Once finished, he waved to the crowd and then made a playful bow to his date before taking his seat.

"Now," he motioned to the piano, "I hope I wasn't too rude in livening up the place. I mean, I guess we can indeed mix business and pleasure, at least, a little." Drink were refilled as food arrived.
He waited for her to test her food before trying his own, "I do hope that it is to your liking?"
