@Akumabito: nothing comes to mind right now, but I assure you that having a battleship stationed outside Malta not say anything when addressed repeatedly is at the least distasteful and at the most ooRP, but perfectly legal. And no, they were not AFK, they shot up BHG whenever they got close. Just no talking, nothing.

And there may be valid reasons for that, and there may not be, but that example, silence isn't the leet speak lol example either, if the guy is sitting there quiet then what's the real issue with that?

Also, there is little need for everything to be set in stone: from your short time here, I have seen you picking on keeping things VERY objective, which while understandable simply doesn't work. There IS no absolute test for RP, and there really can't be. I trust the leaders of these factions to make the right decisions, if you don't trust them then you are entitled to that. However, don't expect much response from trying to make it objective since that's impossible. Well, a border is impossible, but you can find examples of universally agreeable good and bad and develop your own sense of it- which everyone here has, whether they know it or not.

I don't disagree with you, but you and I both know that the factions are more than their leaders and that there are different levels of RP. The short answer is I don't trust the factions to approve what ships I can and cannot fly.

Plus it simply won't work. So you kill the cap ships, so what? They move to another system or wait till you're not around, and they get worse from the resentment, you kill them again, it's a big pissing screaming match that ends up in the admins lap eventually.

And believe me, I've seen this before on other RP servers. It's not a new issue, it's just one that get overblown I think, in part because when you are in a clan you usually aren't allowed a cap ship unless you are the leader or his buddies, so that naturally breeds clan resentment, and clans generally start thinking they own 100% of that faction, so they start to target the indies who don't want to join.

Right now, if people are talking crap oorp in chat, you have an official avenue to handle it through the rules. If they are not then let them play.
