I couldn't tell you what kind of bird it is, I've helped a few injured birds before (Many of them were injured by my Cat, that little snake kills everything!), But none of them looked like that bird there, It seems like a relatively large bird anyways!

Maybe you could just look up "species of birds in Canada" on wikipedia, and examine the pictures to find a similar looking bird (It takes time, but if you need/want to know what species of bird it is, It could help!)

But im glad to hear its in good health!
