From the data you've provided, it looks quite similar to an anomaly that was found in the badlands of the new york system quite some time ago. We still arent sure what this anomaly is - it appears to be an exceptionally small form of pulsar or quasar; objects in space which emit massive amounts of energy in the form of photons (light particles). These entities are believed to be related to black holes and jump holes, though no proof of this has been found.

It is known, however, that such anomalies are highly dangerous. Though their field of effect is quite small - only a few dozen meters - any ship approaching within that distance is likely to be incinerated by the bombardment of energy from the object.

The anomaly in new york is unusual in that it is close to the core of Sirius. Most of these are found far out in the borderworlds on the edges of known space, which could have some relation to their purpose or origin.

We continue research on these galactic mysteries, further data will be forwarded when it is collected.
