Most of the people who got banned had it coming. There is nothing wrong with criticizing other players or staff members as long as you use methods of civil discussion and not swearing, flaming, behind-the-back-scheming and trolling, no matter how subtle.
Besides, everyone is free to appeal for an unban after six moths, that should give people enough time to reconsider their behavior.
