I cannot agree more with @Zephyranthes' post above. The same attitude of apathy and constantly sweeping stuff under the rug is exactly the kind of weak-kneed attitude that has allowed problems like these to become almost endemic. Each and every one of you calling for things to be "defused" or otherwise subject to calming measures is a shining example of how people who have nothing meaningful to contribute other than "I don't understand what is going on but I think it is bad" should keep their opinions to themselves.

You're very good at picking up the thread at the point where it suits your position most. The "approach of aggression and anger" was in itself prompted by the exact same of arrogant, dismissive stonewall attitude which you're insinuating didn't exist beforehand - people, including myself, have tried time and time again to approach the staff in reasonable, polite, and open methods only to be met with contempt, sarcasm, and a general denial that anything is wrong in the first place.
