Wanted: tutorial to set up your own server

If this is just for you and your son, then run flserver in the discovery exe folder. Anyone on your home network can then join, but no one outside of the house. Saves you from all of the port forewarding and router setup. and ou can try out the game and the POB's. Kind of lonely with just 2 players but you get a feel for the game.

What if you use a lan service like Hamachi? Would that allow a person from outside your home network to join?

a 'standard' /common setup won't need that extra layer,just connect directly to the server through the internet..
