Started with several AI programs who managed to obtain human "shells". The network grew into many smugglers who were adept at staying off the radar. Today they can be found throughout Sirius 'liberating' counterfit software and other forms of contraband anywhere they find a welcome docking station.

2. Smugglers will fly alone only if they are in a ship with countermeasures and mkVIII armor.
3. You may accept an escort from an [ipx] wingman only if you are currently not carrying contraband. You may accept an escort from a Mercenary anywhere.
4. [Lpx] Smuggler ID'd escorts may escort [Ipx] members only if you are not carrying contraband.
