While Carriers should be more of a support vessels then again I can see the worry about spamming of drones...
If it would be possible to have a cooldown of the rate which the drones can be deployed and if the carrier moves further away from the battlefield the drones would self destruct or follow the carrier... eg: Carrier is 5km away from the main battle and then deployes its drones but goes back further then the drones would stay in that 5km radius from the carrier.... otherwise they would self destruct.. That would eliminate the guerilla styled attacks for carriers....
