Weapons: What are their uses?

Flak cannons are a good way to annoy any NPCs really quickly :laugh:

But they can do hideous amounts of damage, if they actually hit that is.

Think unguided missile with a better refire, infinite range (they keep going until they hit something..) less energy usage and larger explosion radius.

Yes, mortars are mainly for cap-ship PvP, though they can kill of NPC cap-ships too.

Missiles are mostly used to get rid of NPC and player fighters, lotsa damage, decent range and refire, but they do use alot of energy.
