Mesdames et Messieurs,

I have to tell you the Courier Brigand Freighter is a fine ship for transporting smaller amounts of cargo, blockade running, or just dodging and outrunning the regular pirate scum. I had the fortune to try out the CLT Foudroyant, and I'm statisfied with it well enough to suggest the acquisition of a few of these for our logistics division once I'm done with this transmission. Of course this is not the main reason I'm writing my report.

A few days ago I've encountered two Liberty Security Force agents of their ninth division while doing freelance runs with the CLT Valse d'Amelie. Even the beginning of the ecounter was strange at best, I haven't met them before, thus had no knowledge of the meaning of "D9" in front of their callsign, and their use of local pirate ships confused me so much I mistook the agent for a pirate. Though I assume for an intelligence organization a more liberal use of available crafts than usual for possibly deceptive purposes when needed is common practice. Of course later an other agent in a lawful craft joined us and they revealed their true identity. After all we are allies with Liberty, aren't we?

The conversation was interesting, at a point they began asking questions about Roussillon, which I was hesitant to answer in open space, offering more secure means of communication, like properly encoded transmission channels over the neural net, but they refused saying there is currently a bit of chaos among the lawful organizations of Liberty. They didn't detail it much, instead offered later contact in-space and installed a buoy on the front of the ship. They said it is to help connecting with the LNS Tenessee's communications in case we are near eachother in Cortez, but because we are speaking of an intelligence organization and because the entire encounter felt a bit strange I'm not entirely convinced it doesn't have any other hidden purposes. As neither me, nor anyone in the crew of the CLT Valse d'Amelie is anywhere near expert at Libertonian technology, we did not touch the device, but for a while I don't intend to return to Roussillon with that ship.

Basically that was our encounter. Full shipboard logs are attached at the end of this transmission. Besides that freelancing operations are going well as well as yielding satisfying profits to fund out cause. If this keeps going on like that, we may not only be able to provide a steady flow of income to The Council, but may be able to extend our trade fleet to speed up our operations a bit more. We've also brought home some Xenobiotic Filters, proper report is at the end of the transmission as well.
