Goro Yoshida walked through the corridors of Mactan Base. His pace was fast and paid little attention to anything else. When he reached Professor Moriarty's office he found the entrance guarded by two Lane Hacker Assassins.

"I am here to see the Senior Professor," Yoshida said simply. The Assassins nodded and stepped aside for the Provocateur to enter. Moriarty's office looked almost identical to the last time he visited it. The Professor was sitting behind the wooden desk playing a game of holochess.

"Senior Professor, the Deputy of the Maltese Council has responded to our message."
"And what news does their Council bring?" Moriarty asked, without raising his head.
"The hybrid is expected to arrive in Santa Verna. Unknown business. It is not anticipated that it will stay there for long before it returns back to nomad space."
"Then you know what must be done, Mr Yoshida. Assemble the team."
"As you command, Professor." the Provocateur said with a nod of his head before exiting Moriarty's office.

Once the doors closed, Moriarty activated a holograph containing all the details of the operation. For almost a year now, the Lane Hackers had closely monitored the secret cult. They kidnapped and interrogated one of their public members, they raided one of their hidden apartments, they paid the Crimson Cross and National Council with the intel about the Roussillon system, and all this had led them to the person responsible for all Oracle operations in Liberty.

It would be extremely dangerous. The creature called Isabelle Engler is a hybrid, the product of human and nomad genetic combination. It is known that the hybrid is telepathic, but the full extent of her powers is unknown. Yoshida's small team will hide on the far side of Planet Carinea, waiting for the moment that Isabelle's delegation approaches Santa Verna, a secluded outpost which the National Council informed them Isabelle is expected to arrive. In addition, the operation will take place far away from the known systems that the Lane Hackers have been trained to operate in, inside the Siniestre Cloud of Omicron Alpha. They will have to hide from Outcast patrols and remain out of sight during the entire operation. Failing to achieve that could mean the Lane Hacker team may be captured for breaking several Maltese Laws, and severe diplomatic repercussions could ensue. And if this was not enough, the Hackers will have to capture the hybrid in order to study and question it.

Moriarty's eyes returned to the holochess game and he selected the Knight for his next move.

"The odds are not in your favor, Yoshida," Moriarty whispered as he moved the piece to its new, far more dangerous position. His face took on an expression that no one had ever lived to describe seeing, a smile. "But the wise Hacker understands that to be dangerous requires venturing into a position of great danger."

This is the climax of a story developing for more than 15 months. As described in the Background paragraph, the outcome of this event is not determined; it will depend on the actions of both sides and it will have real inRP impact. Only snubs are allowed for each side, except Isabelle Engler who is not bound by any ship restrictions. Oracle snubs will not contain inRP their respective Oracle characters inside but they will be either remotely controlled or Artificial Intelligence will guide them. Finally, rules-wise, admins have approved this fight to take place outside LH ZoI.
