TO: ADMIRAL DRIEDRIK STERR, RM
FROM: RESERVE CAPTAIN KLEMENS KOSSUTH, RNC TEGETTHOFF

Herr Admiral,

I think you would like to know about the victory my men and I won yesterday.

The Tegetthoff was patrolling the New Berlin System when, not far from the Strausberg, the lookouts spotted two Vidar-class, the Frankfurt and the Green Light. I questioned them about their movement, the Red Hessians, so I could deduce who I would be dealing with and use the right strategies. Both captains appeared to be men of blinded reason, so I calculated my chances as favourable and steered the ship towards them. What I did not know, as the range of the ship's scanner was too short, and what I did not expect, was that they were armed with four pulse cannons and a light mortar each. Meanwhile an Odin joined them too, flown by a certain Eichhorst. I realised my mistake and I was glad that I would die wearing a uniform. I kept the men ignorant of the new calculation of chances, of course, as there always happen to be some of weaker heart among them, who spoil the hearts of others like a rotten apple spoils a bunch. Our new goal was to do as much damage as possible before the ship's lights go out. Even the fighter dared to attack us, but it was easy to reach, and our volley of secondaries, primaries and flaks surprised Eichhorst, almost destroying his ship. But the cruisers were keeping at long range successfully. Our shield still held, barely, but it was only a question of time. At the moment, however, when I steered the ship away from the Frankfurt, I managed to lure them to 2K distance, when I ordered a sudden and hard right, which surprised the captain. They were facing us at the time and, adding to that, they appeared to have a malfunction of the thruster, which allowed my turrets to completely disable the ship in this one go.
This allowed us to focus on the Green Light. Their captain appeared to be slightly more experienced, but for some reason, he was given command over a thinner armoured ship. I took this not only as favourable information, but also as the proof that socialism is not working as well as they preach. They were desperate: they lead us into the Ruhrfeld, but left it not long after, which was either because their ship was getting jammed as well, or they deviated from their plans due to the lack of capability. They were damaging us slowly, and we were damaging them quickly. After the arrival of the SMH fighter Loewenzahn, we had the necessary cruise disruptor support, so I ordered the ship's cruise drive to be charged. Within moments we were almost ramming their engine. Their numerous pulses happened to be their doom instead of their asset, as a hit at the Tegetthoff's bared hull polarized her core and made the swift action, which we successfully performed, possible. The Green Light's left engine was hit by our heavy mortar and torn apart. I rescued what survivors could be found, as they can possibly be re-educated, and left the Loewenzahn to finish off the damaged Odin. Our pilot triumphed after a few minutes.

PS: It might not be of significant importance, but there was another Hessian fighter engaged, named hess. It was destroyed during its first torpedo dive at the Tegetthoff.

Allied Forces:
RNC-Tegetthoff (Bismarck, Damaged)
SMH-S-Loewenzahn (Eagle, Damaged(?))

Enemy Forces:
RHA-Frankfurt (Vidar, Destroyed)
