Corsairs and LFs

Not quite me thinks. LFs arn't nessesary for anything at all, quite unlike weapons or cruise disruptors.

I have flown into many a winning fight against mixed forces (including caps) with a force of bombers and VHF's. I really don't think an LF is that important in the grand sceme of things.

However I really don't think the tigershark should have been taken away from the corsairs, I just think it should be used in limited numbers, not every other ship being one.

It depends a lot on what you fight in and what you fight against

If you have one of the more agile VHFs and fight against less agile ships there is no need for them. Example Wrath against Titan, Chimaera against Templar. If on the other side you have much slower VHF you usually need the LF support... just ask the QCO.

I don't there is any need to limit the numbers and the "LF-whorage" just makes laugh. As QCO (again) found out LFs are kind of self-limiting. More than 50% of LFs in any force is too much, since they can't deal the necessary amount of damage. There have been fights where QCO had over 80% LFs on their side.. and it didn't go too well for them.

Best is actually teams of 1 LF and 1VHF. LF keeps enemy shields down and keeps him busy.. while the VHF deals hull damage. In larger groups you can go for more like 1LF:2-3VHFs.

This off course works only if you use the right tactic when fighting against LFs. The one that many of the Outcasts used in the last two RoS vs TBH was completely wrong and they paid for it. 2LF team did "rape" their "best" pilots.
