This day had been long coming for Alexandra, one she had been working toward her entire life. From the day she first began studying, to the first time she held a gun in her hands in the academy. She still remembered the broadcasts she had loved dearly as a child. The Department of Coalition Recruitment's Clip # 528617 had always been her favorite, she remembered it by heart, like any good communist would, for she was exactly that.
'The Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army is recruiting! The entirety of your neighboring habitation sector has already reported to it's local Army recruiting station. But, how come you have not yet enlisted? To Serve in the People's Army is an honor! And the definite and only chance to prove one's loyalty to the Coalition. Cowards die in shame. Report to your nearest recruiting station immediately'
She sighed gently, the entire broadcast made her shiver, no matter how often she heard it. And with every year that passed, her pride swelled, for she would soon be able to fulfill the orders droning from the public square's speaker. It was with a firm, eager step that she entered the recruiting center. The Line was empty, thankfully. And she respectfully strode up to the desk, giving a salute to the one sitting at it. Under her arm, in a neat manila were the records of her academic life, and of her public service.
"Greetings, Comrade. I would like to request consideration for service within the Revolutionary Army. "She said, dropping the salute, folding her hands behind her back. "My records are here, and I stand ready for any kind of questioning about them" To her, the record was a formality. It was her drive, her passion to serve that mattered. She would not fail the state, or it's people.
