Don't get me wrong. I understand the viewpoint you're trying to convey very well. You are simply looking at it from a broader esoteric way. While you're focusing on a form of 'The Gaia Principle' I'm focusing on the result of post-WWII consumerism. & that's where our wires cross. You mention

consumerism is just another part of nature. Everything needs to consume something to sustain its life, we humans just really overdo it.

so, we are on the same page as far as that goes. Let me ask: what do you think the world could have been like today if America had a responsible energy policy & didn't have the mindset of 'mans dominion over nature' while growing infrastructure in the late 40's & 50's?

Nutshelling it as best I can, I imagine that we would be much more cooperative society.Urban sprawl would not exist. Farming would be localized. War to secure resources would be unnecessary & as a result, America wouldn't have had such a negative effect on the world as we do.

I'm all about recognizing cause & effect. I wish I had more time atm to go into greater detail, but I have to come back abit later today to do that. 'cause I'd love to keep discussing this sort of thing
