In all honesty, I want to be sure we're clear (and past the point) that the PoB destruction was legitimate; I'm very new here, and not sure I understand all of the intricacies of a FR5'd faction.
I think we can agree there is lag on updating info pages on the forum, and Primary Faction infocards need updating (i.e, the Order| primary tag still calls out the Core| as the BHG/Core), so we should use a grain of salt using these as hard datapoints.
For a PoB attack (it was "my" PoB), I watched closely. It hit the following checkboxes:
-Attack declaration thread and correct wait time
-RP post about why this this happened (linked previously, and all in the PoB thread)
The PoB was is in Core "controlled" space, and Sapphire Raven stumbled upon it. Information is worth something; for exchanging the location to the Core|, she negotiated better relations with he group, Aux, and the Core|. That makes sense, correct? So, she tipped off the Core| on the forums, they agreed, and then the siege post was made.
If the faction's status didn't get updated in time (...and, honestly, not sure where that lives; on the forums under each faction's info, in a main thread, ingame (unlikely), etc.), and therefore the rule Alley brought up was "broken", can we agree that is was was acceptable, due to the RP beforehand?
I want to ensure this is cleared, before someone submits a Violation report. We can settle this outside of getting Admins (overworked as they are) involved.
Believe me, I'm not jumping for joy or thrilled my/the PoB was discovered and blown to smithereens, but, it was dropped in a risky location, and survived for a month or so. The Zoner base that was dropped by the Delta JH in Lost lasted...like, 3 days before the Nomads took it out.
...
As for editing posts, there should be a changelog, somewhere, but that's just more overhead to take care of. If there aren't existing forum rules, then there's nothing officially "wrong". However, I'm surprised we are allowed to go back and change posts without a time limit. I've seen places where a post is locked after X hours after posting (i.e, 72). It prevents anyone going back and changing things. Perhaps not for sticked posts (as this is where info lives), but for regular posts.
