"Bretonia was dealt another blow by the Kingdom of Gallia with the final assault and capture of Planet Harris, Bretonia's on-going Terraforming Project that has been a major flashpoint during the Kusari-Bretonia war which saw a large Kusari force being disabled by a mine-field set up by the Bretonian Armed Forces and lured the Kusari Naval Forces to their deaths.
With the loss of Planet Harris Bretonia has lost one of their remaining known assets in the Tau Region, solidifying Gallia's hold upon the system until further notice. While the Ministry of Truth is unsure as to the future of Harris it is possible that Gallia may continue the Terraforming project under their assets in EFL, a corporation of Gallic origin to further secure their position as a major power in the Taus through the prestige the completion of such a project could entail.
The Kingdom of Bretonia's response has not been made public as of yet however it is likely that the Kingdom is now feeling highly pressured with the loss of a highly valuable project and facility in the Taus.
In other news the citizens of Omega-49 can rest easier this night with the strengthening of the Triumvirate's position with the establishment of a secured facility by the Mollys of Dublin in order to curb attempts by the Corsairs to retake the system. Even now Coalition and Molly pilots frequently utilize the facility to patrol the Protectorate and ensure Corsair Raiders are kept at a minimal. In the State Duma there is talk of deporting the Corsair Colony on Gran Canaria, however due to the regional politics it is unlikely to proceed.
In other news Newcastle has been seeing a heightened Coalition presence, strike craft have been sighted in the system assisting Molly Separatists against the local Bretonian Crown elements. the Coalition High Command while it has declined to comment on this matter has stated that 'The increase of aid to our allies is connected with the eventual liberation of Newcastle from the corruption of the Bretonian Crown, that is all we can say due to reasons of National Security.'.
