Captain's Log: 20 October 822 A.S.
J. Scott, Commanding Officer SS-Endeavor, Corvo Class Science Ship
I'm not even certain how to start this. While in the New York system we came upon a battle between the HF, A/ and the Liberty Navy ship LN-Dreadnaught-Aby. The Aby had sustained critical damage and announced to all parties in the battle that the Endeavor's medical bays were standing by to receive casualties. Within a couple of minutes the Aby without warning or provocation unleashed the entirety of it's weapons systems and attacked my vessel. To have a Liberty Navy Dreadnaught attack a civilian ship without any reason is shocking to say the least. Luckily we we were able to get the shields up and take evasive maneuvers before we sustained any critical damage. I held off returning fire thinking that the Aby had mistakenly fired upon our ship, however, the dreadnaught continued to fire upon my ship. I had no choice but to return fire and engage the vessel with the Endeavor's compliment of Cerberus cannons and battle razors destroying the attacking ship.
Once the Aby was destroyed I immediately ordered the crew to begin retrieving the surviving crewmen of the Aby and to administer medical assistance. Once we retrieved the remaining crew we delivered them to West Point for further medical treatment. It is unknown at this time whether or not the captain of the LN-Dreadnaught-Aby was among those that we retrieved.
-----UPDATE----
It would appear that the Captain of the Aby was not among the wounded. Moments after making this log entry a Liberty Navy Gunboat named Aby-Fighter reentered the fight. I can only assume that this is the same Captain that tried to destroy my ship earlier. I will not give her another chance to do so and will be filing a formal complaint with the authorities in Liberty.
-----UPDATE----
The Endeavor has just encountered the Captain of the Aby again at Planet Manhattan. Our vessel was again fired upon but as her gunboat's weapons posed no threat we did not return fire. The entire encounter and subsequent transmissions were strange and after consulting with the ships doctor I believe that she may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
