Captain Jeff Willdor and his crew fly the "Rider of the Storm" known as the "Series ST Border Worlds Transport". When Jeff was younger he uses to work as a freelancer for the border world export. He was escorting their freighters with his Eagle.

After many routes the Border World Export gave him one of their Border World transport and some gold as payment. He decided to go back to Planet Manhattan on the island. The community was proud of his job. So they told him to transport volunteer passengers to the Omega 15 at Rostock station. The Bounty Hunters Guild and Guard needed them for new recruit and for the way back he could load out his cargo with diamonds for Manhattan's jeweller. Jeff's wife, Lyla Flore, Vick Blaster and Ben Looter joined the crew.

On the way back to the Planet Manhattan, in Texas system, a group of pirate tried to steal the cargo. The captain and his crew managed to escape but the ship was in a bad state. After entering the atmosphere of Manhattan they had to fly to the Island. In the sky there was big black clouds. They all knew that a storm was on their way. It was noisy, violent and dark brighting... The ship had to be repaired. When it was almost at the landing area of the island a flash of lighting hurt the hull. The captain and his crew managed to keep control of the transport and they flew through the lightnings until they landed. The community was at the landing area waiting for the ship.

Once they landed with success the freelancers told the crew how lucky they were and that they should give a name to the ship. Jeff thought about "Rider of the Storm" and everybody found it nice as it is reminding this event and a very, very old tune.
