Squatting Partridge's neural net dinged as he dragged out the process of turning over in bed, reaching for the Indigestion Bag, as it was labeled at the local CVS, just in case. The normally dark complexion of our Native American friend was now much more pale and green than one would have liked, and indeed, he was on Sick Leave. He read the memo one of his buddies at the office had sent him; apparently his Patriot had been turned into an escape pod for the Rusty Donut and he'd been upgraded to a Liberator. Moaning, he fell back on the bed and went to sleep again. The doctors said he'd be better next week, but he didn't trust them...
