Since the previous report of suspicious traffic heading through Sigma-19 to Omicron Beta, these transports have continued unabated. However, despite past offending ships providing no clues other than "the Omicrons" to their final destination, a mission into Omicron Beta has led to promising results.

Two transports belonging to Bretonia Mining and Fabrication were detected in Omicron Beta, the first being BMF|Homeros and the second BMF|CargoStar, which appeared to be damaged. These ships were quite clearly guests of Ruiz Station, the main Outcast establishment in the system. The repair and apparent decoupling manoeuvres conducted by the previously wounded BMF|CargoStar implies it was granted sanctuary on the Outcast station, suggesting a neutral to friendly relationship between the two groups, which is most concerning. This implication also lends credence to the suspicion of the Bretonian ships previously detected with base materiel in the Sigmas being in league with our enemies.

A soft questioning of these ships proved fruitless, and they decided to leave Omicron Beta under the "assistance" of a GMG battle transport. They eventually jumped to the Honshu system and proceeded further into Kusari space, claiming to be moving to the New Tokyo system. They were not pursued further.

Fortunately, thanks to the trajectory of the BMF ships when they were caught at Ruiz, it was possible to partially extrapolate the direction they had come from. Due to the ambiguous nature of their flight path, it took several sectors of search patterns to finally stumble across a discernibly fresh construct in the system. This modular installation was already protected by a weapons platform and so it was deemed vital to retreat in order to ensure to longevity of the Garanchou freighter used. and the data acquired on its mission. Fortunately, the location of the so-called Catania Station was saved to its navigational systems, and later uploaded to the central computer on Iejima Station.

It is clear that this is not the end of the matter, and offensive operations that would be previously infeasible must be planned and conducted, in order to ensure the security of the Sigma systems.
