What a toxic attitude.

#returnsetmessages
the amount of times I've seen smugglers been able to slip by because of the police not being able to type fast enough is killing me inside
That is funny considering A/) spend most of there time in Kansas or Vespucci. So how does this work ?
You saw me in New York today. I could pull screenshots of us in Delta yesterday, or the Omegas, or Bretonia, or Rheinland.
I saw "A" (1) A/) in New York earlier who left to die then come back again which was hilarious, but anyway back to topic...
Setmsgs hurt interactions as it takes less than 5 seconds to type /l1 and /l2 for a average typer. Yeah it does have it's pro's and it's con's but the con's are what matter most, yeah it's good it can store roleplay for every encounter, it's good that you can use them to engage people, yeah it's good you can just use them over and over again with no cool down period.
Maybe if there was an implementation made for them to be used after so many lines of roleplay that are not /l1 /l2 or for engagement notices then yeah I understand, but a huge count of members use the setmsgs as engagement notices, are atleast 65% - 75% of players use them as engagement notices.
If there was a way for Admins, Devs, Mods to restrict what the setmsg says then yeah maybe. I understand slow typers trust me I do, alot of my family are like that and alot of them have played Freelancer, they couldn't type fast enough for pirates demands so they died and it was sad that pvp players used such things against the slow typers.

it doesn't diss the fact that my initial point was valid. they try to cd them and to write out the demands then -
oh jokes on them they already docked
It's funny you say it like that, because you talk like I don't know or CR| don't know that silent traders are a pain especially without setmsgs, do alot of players forget Coronado had Baffin and Cortez JH only 15k from Barrier Gate Station, alot of traders would silently be on there way making it annoying for CR| players to try get decent roleplay. Someones we had to use /l setmsgs to get the ships to stop. It was annoying.
So I know both sides of the story.
Quickly though, let's stop the personal assaults, attacks, debates, but let's actually stay on topic... and give constructive responses which will help the Admins decide weather to keep them removed or add them back in...
I personally disagree with adding them back in unless especially rules were made around using them with some form of cool down period between each set message being used. Making it impossible to /l1 and /l2 within 5 sections, as there is a rule hidden or unwritten about engagement notices have to be after 10 seconds of roleplay or it could be classed as pvp abuse. So maybe if they were made 10 seconds for a cool down period and engagement notices were not allowed via setmsgs then I can see it being okay.
