Cargo scanning and interdiction operations were a success some days ago. The first incident involved two freelancer Serenity transports, kolbenBfarm and Goombay, both in possession of illegal artifacts. Initially detected at the Honshu jumpgate in Sigma-19, both ships jumped to Aomori Station. There they were informed of their violation of Guild law and initially appeared to be complying, but then attempted to flee. Their ships were destroyed, and part of their cargo salvaged and transported to Iejima Station for storage.

The second incident began at the same location as the first, involving an Orbital Spa and Cruise transport also brimming with artifacts. This ship failed to stop when ordered, and it too fled to Honshu. The transport attempted to escape and was subsequently destroyed. Again, the salvaged cargo was moved to Iejima Station.

Pooling these artifacts with those confiscated on previous patrols has left a sizeable stock of cargo to be fenced on. It has been released to the station's commodity dealer, and Kishiro Technologies will be notified so their transports may legally conduct runs into Kusari space.

With the discovery of Catania Station in Omicron Beta, the reason for much of the suspicious traffic of the two previous has become clear. The latest incident came with the detection of a Planetform, Incorporated transport in Sigma-19, transporting a haul of nanomembrane filters. The captain of the ship claimed to be going to Omicron Beta, but refused to disclose their final location. This is violation of Guild law.

Despite this, the captain agreed to be convinced to sell the cargo on Iejima, where The Guild can put it to good use. The station has received 4,000 units of nanomembrane filters for a total of 7,000,000 credits. The Planetform ship then departed for the Honshu system with a hold of helium-3.
