Log: 002| Date: 11/15//823 |Title: Critical Systems Failure

The Hour, is 2:23. The HMS-Thames is suffering engine trouble. This has been a personal worry of mine since we spent much of the previous day in a particle cloud in Magellan. The Primary MOX-Interchange Reactor for the Engines is rather delicate when it comes to fine particulate and debris, and this breakdown has struck us at the worst possible time.

We're unable to clear the filtering system with our present equipment, and will need to make it to dry dock. However, I dare not stress the engine reactor further, by powering to Cruise, meaning we'll be relying on standard Impulse speed to traverse the system and make our way back home.

The Gallic Royal Navy is our primary worry, as do to the Adamant- Class' limited communications range, we will be caught out alone. With the scanners on full, it's even likely still the Gauls would see us before we spotted them. I can only hope our armaments hold up if it comes down to it.
