Lin stumbled out of the cockpit, which was smoking from the dashboard. When she landed on the floor, she collapsed to her knees, holding one hand to her head. "Ugh... It stings...". She looked around and saw multiple fire crews approaching the ship and a medical crew running to her. She fell flat on the floor, her vision slowly fading to black as her body was completely exhausted from the effort of reaching the station while trying to stay awake.

It would be a few hours later that she woke up. The room was white, or at least, that is what she could tell from the ceiling. Her bed was surrounded by curtains on all sides, which made her assume that there were multiple beds in the room. When she slowly looked over her body, which was covered in blankets she could see a few tubes leading to pumps, which supplied her with painkilling medicine, and other assorted blood clotting agents and whatnot. She felt a droning, noticeable but not so bad ache on her right shoulder, which was now stitched up. The cut had grown quite a bit wider when the doctors had tried to remove more of the metal shrapnel that was still embedded in it. She still had a lot of trouble moving the arm, and a few bones on her rightlower arm were broken aswell, but set. Her legs showed a few scratches here and there, but nothing all that major. Her helmet had covered a gash over her left eye, which was also stitched and no longer bleeding. The swift action of the doctors had reduced the bloodloss she had suffered. She noticed her GC flight uniform was missing, and instead replaced with a hospital dress that closed at the back. She groaned as she regained consciousness fully and attempted to sit up, in vain, as the headache forced her back down with her head softly landing on the pillow. She shut her eyes again, falling asleep in a restless sleep.

Another few hours pass. A doctor stumbles into the room through the door behind the curtains. Lin by now had reawakened, and looked up hearing the door close. The sound pierced through her ears and made her cringe as the headache flared up again. He opened the curtains and stepped in. "So you must be the GC pilot they had brought in earlier..". He gave her a mistrustfull look. "I am indeed.". She replied coldly to the man, only made more suspicious of him by the way he looked at her. Her eyes darted to the dresser next to her. It seems the IMG hadnt kept their word and had removed her sidearm. She suddenly felt very unprotected and looked back at the doctor. "I'm assuming you are going to interrogate me now?".

To be continued..

This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
