The surgeons inside of New Life Hospital where Lin had been taken by shuttle after she lost consciousness in the hangar had been working on her for quite a while to get her into the state that she woke up.

The name tag reads "Doctor A. Johnson" and it is hard to focus on the small writing for Lin due to the mix of painkillers that she is being given. "My name is Doctor Johnson, and it's good to see you are awake." he remarks with a friendly voice while he is checking the scanner reading of her vital signs routinely. "... interrogate you?" he asks her and shakes his head with a smile, while he is doing a quick routine check on her reaction speed.

"... no, Miss. That's not going to happen. This is a hospital. Not a prison." he reassured her calmly, while seeming content with the results of his checks. He was lying to some degree. As New Life had many Cardamine addicts as patients, it was not completely open, however in this area one did not immediately notice the higher security standards.

"... you were taken to New Life Hospital, Falkland Base, Tau 37. This is a newly built installation to treat not only trauma patients like yourself, but also specialises in the treatment of Cardamine addiction. So..." he smiles again, while he is adjusting the dripping rhythm of the painkillers by pressing the plus-sign three times. "... you are in good hands."

"The surgeons removed 2 small pieces of shrapnel from your right shoulder..." and he shows her a scan picture of the sharpnel and the damaged bone structure, and then switches to picture to the status now.

"... the larger one was wedged in the bone. It was also removed, as you can see here." he explains the reinforced structures around the bones of her upper arm: "... the bone structure was damaged, so it was reinforced, as you can see here..." and he explains everything to her with the picture. "... it will dissolve over the next 2-3 years, no surgery needed." he concludes with a soft smile, watching her slide deeper into the painkiller-induced half-consciousness again.

"... the rest is just cuts and bruises, nothing to worry about... so..." he checks her arm again that is firmly fixed to her body and covered from wrist to her shoulder in a lightweight splint that also included the tubes that were supporting her with medicine and drugs... "... you'll be fine. Do you have any questions? Any wishes?" he asks her, looking content.
