Biography: I'm assuming this is a lead in to the next question, and you basically want to know how I got here. Long story short, I was in the LSF. On a routine trip, my wing came across a distress beacon from a trader. We rushed over to the beacon, but didn't make it in time. We saw the flash of the ship exploding from a distance. When we arrived on scene, there was a Navy wing on site already, and we didn't have a good feeling about it. The marks on the debris looked like they came from military grade weapons, and the Navy pilots had a hold full of the cargo that was floating in space from the remains of the merchant ship. The Navy pilot claimed that pirates had attacked the ship and they arrived to the blast, but we were close enough that we'd have seen that on scanners. One of my wingmen accused the Navy patrol of destroying the vessel, and things got intense. Luckily before things got into a full on fight, our commander recalled us in. We submitted our reports on the incident and thought all was well, except for the trader. As it turns out, it wasn't.
As it turned out, the Navy wing had a pilot who came from a very powerful ad wealthy family. He claimed that they saw US attack the trader, and that one of my wingmen was responsible for it and had attacked them. This was totally unfounded, and when the Navy went to "question" him, his wing's ship suffered a freak reactor failure or so they claimed. At this point, it became clear that we were being hunted. My other wingmen and I split up, and left false reports of our destinations, which incidentally sourced reported having unusual Navy patrols in those areas that seemed agitated. I stowed away and managed to work my way out to the Freeport in Bering, far enough away that I could hide from what was going on. From the Freeport I received word that the news claimed the Navy had tracked us down to question us, where we were revealed to be Outcast spies and had attacked but been defeated by the "Brave Navy Officers", and that the pilot from the influential family received special commendation and award for his bravery and loyalty to Liberty. Complete lies.
Reasons for joining us: After the events I listed above, I was on the run. I worked odd jobs under aliases, keeping my head low and taking care of things that needed done. Apparently I made a bit of a name for myself. On a mission where I was escorting a trade convoy, we were accosted by a wing of Rogues. They'd heard of my exploits, and wanted to make an example of me and my exploits. Turned out they thought they'd collect a sizeable bounty that had mysteriously been placed on the head of any pilot who looked like me and had similar skill as me by unnamed sources. Heavily outgunned and largely outnumbered, things didn't look very good.
But fate was on my side that day, and a wing of friendlies appeared. The Rogues, seeing their advantage disappear fled, but not before inflicting heavy damages on our convoy. And then someone unexpected showed up, my old wingman. He'd heard the rumors of a pilot like me in the area and thought it could be me. He said he'd followed a similar path to me, but had joined the Legion. He escorted our convoy to safety and we spent some time discussing it. I decided to join the Legion on an unofficial level, and started to take on some tasks. I've been doing this for a while, and feel like the goal of keeping our people safe from corruption is a cause I could stand behind. And so, I'm applying for official membership into the Legion.
***OOC PART OF APPLICATION***
Have you ever been sanctioned? If so, what for? Do you feel you've learnt your lesson from that?
Yes, I had a series of misunderstandings while stuck in a jump hole docking sequence. I also didn't have the proper [HF] ID for my HF BS. Yes I learned my lesson hence applying to join.
Having Skype is a requirement because we of the need to be able to communicate with all members easily. What is your Skype ID?
