"This cat is the living example that small children and animals shouldn't be in research laboratories. My mentor and I were trying out some idea on how to increase the healing rate of humans. Since the material we started our studies on was not to be used without any risks we concentrated first on samples of our cells, our maingoal was to animate them to mutliplicate in a manner that there was no risk for creating tumors. No matter if such were good or bad..." Josi strokes the cat gently "One of our samples though showed no reaction at all. Since we modified the experiments we decided to wait some more. Until one day this cat, back then still a little kitten sneaked to the laboratory when we were discussing something and ate the sample where nothing happened. The happening came then, and it had two effects. Bastet can communicate with me on a way that blocks Nomadic influence on my brain, and once this kitten and I recovered from the rather painful change my eyecolour turned from the former blue-green to the current state. Sadly I got no other cool powers, but I wouldn't change what I have with this cat by all means." Josephines voice turns soft in the end, showing easily how deep the bond is she shares with this special cat.
After this she listens carefully to the explanation of Siren, making some notes on the said things but stopping as the emotional change from her patient can be heard. Swiftly she gets a tissue for the woman as the first tear runs over Sirens cheek. Bastet took the intitative and hurried to the woman on the table, jumping to her side and calmingly the cats rubs her head against the womans arm. One paw is placed on the leg of the woman and as Josephine hands the tissue to the crying woman Bastet changes her place to the lap and a gentle purring can be heard. Josi takes over the place next to Siren and carefully lays an arm around the womans shoulder, holding her slighty since it seems to be needed.
"Let it go Siren... it is allright. You have faced so much and got betrayed by so many that I admire your strength. But even the strongest among us can have their weak moments. And here it is safe for you to rely on others to keep you safe." Josephine talks quiet and soothingly to not let everybody hear what she says. "You may never know why the person you were did what she did. But you have a future now, one where you are the one to make the decisions. All you can do now is to live on in the best you can, with the support The Order and I can give you. You are not alone anymore Siren, and even if you decide to leave you can always talk to me. I swore to help those who need my help and after that I live my life." The doctor holds the woman while only the purring of the cat and quiet sobs can be heard, giving Siren the time she needs to calm down.
