Commander Enomoto, provisional captain of the KDS-Hoshou

I have been assigned a special duty by Rear Admiral Shimoe to deploy the KDS-Hoshou deep into the warzone, to establish a staging force for KNF strikes against Blood Dragon and other hostile space forces in the system. The rapid development capabilities of the rebels in and around the Tomioka orbital zone are of great concern to High Command, and a new strategy of interdicting enemy forces from outside of the Tomioka security zone has been envisioned.

Upon my request, officers Kobayakawa Yuji (Sk), Seiho.Isayama (Ii) and Shinji.Watanabe (Ni) have come to perform escort duties to the advancing taskforce, from Narita Outpost to Nagano space.

Travel through the secure systems was without problems, save a few scouting parties who have noted our presence. We believe most have been destroyed before being able to signal out anything of note.

At Nagano, we proceeded to scout several undisclosed locations, as per classified orders of the mission. We found some of them to be suitable for a staging point, although not perfect for a far range monitoring of strategic points in the system. That will cause an increased need for probe and manned sorties for intelligence gathering.

One of the first missions our assets did was indeed surveying best routes between Tomioka secure zone and our current staging point (callsign Helix). On approach to Tomioka, our wing detected a lone Blood Dragon officer, performing scouting duties in low orbit. KNF pilots successfully evicted her from the area, achieving space superiority for that period of time.

Later on, KNF pilots engaged again with the Blood Dragon officer, and a reported neutralization of the hostile was done with the loss of one of our fighters. Nanny ship was sent to last location and retrieved our pilot.

The flight wing proceeded on some deep recon to the Tau cluster, qith some interesting findings. Meanwhile the Hoshou tended to its preparations for the coming campaign. A more extensive report on the Hoshou status is to come later.

Ending my mission, I retain command of the Hoshou and it's group, until the formal commander of the group arrives.
