Removal of the system off the player list?

Remember that at first the player list didn't even exist. It only became a thing when Cannon brought it to life. It's merely a service to the community, not a requirement we have to provide.

I never really said that it's a requirement, however since it does exist I don't exactly see the reason why it should be made less functional. With the current region descriptions it's pretty useless.

For years it was used reasonably (note the reasonably), it's only for the past two years or so some people have went out of their way to track and harass specific players every single time they logged, up to making bots dedicated to harassment.

I'm quite sure the Discovery Server Watcher stopped working about two years ago and up until that point I don't think I've seen people really complaining that much about it. I actually used it to monitor my own faction activity, to get a poke each time someone from my own faction logged.

And even if people did use some sort of automated software to monitor the server, neither of those changes (removal of system and cloudflare) successfully prevent it because I can still write a bot which would notify me when someone tagged logs on the server.
