I agree, several new players coming recently. Im constantly in Pennsylvania giving them a hand and after earning their first coins, doing convoys to another systems. Constantly recomending another more profiteable comodities for mining being part of a miner faction (if they like mining) or just trading along all sirius. My common sentence "buy cheap here, sell expensive far away" hahahaha.

Also agree, several new pilots buying Liberty capitals, but I also recomend others houses for Battleships. But due the HUGE increase of unlawfuls in Liberty, we need also a lot of forces for protect the new tradders. Also there are a lot of new unlawfuls (pirates) demaning REALLY HUGE amount of credits from people who is just starting...

About starting in another place, would be a BAD idea. New players must be close to middle for allow them to explore easly all other systems around. Starting in a far away place, where nobody is... will avoid their desire to remain due the lack of activity.

Anyway... If you see me In pennsylvania, contact me with all new ideas for new players, everything interesting is more than welcome!

EDIT: Hm... i cant find the place about ideas for REstarts, but would be good, if the "/restart beginner" add 2 more light mining arrays, in slots 3,4, 7 and 8.
