+ 1 Sombra. I heavily dislike the use of Nephilims for offensive purposes without any regard to the lore or hell, RP to show that a Nephilim was retrofitted to be more offensive (but then we get into the whole "How expensive they are inRP and how rare they are supposed to be, so why convert such a rare colony ship to make it offensive...)

Anyway, yes - Carrier/Qships would be a better sight to see. Matches the lore better. Hence why I'd be in favor of seeing Colony ships restricted to Official factions or SRP. Not to punish the indies, but more to match the lore/RP behind them. They're rare. They're expensive. They're mobile freeports. They shouldn't be used for offensive actions.
