So... That was eventful.. She lights a cigarette, shakily taking a puff
What happened in Colorado and Kepler was really frightening.. But it threw up some questions, although giving some hints to answer questions we already had.
To summarize, though.. The Battleship Rio Grande in Colorado picked up signals of Nomads reaching into the system. Many ships were there to defend the space. Liberty navy, Hellfire Legion, even Pirates and an Outcast - which was... confusing, to say the least. Either way, the nomads came eventually. And they brought something we haven't seen before. A non-scout Nomad Bomber.
We didn't have the time to scan them thoroughly, given the fact there were tons of them and they were highly aggressive, but we can only hope that these are the last of that kind we'll see.. Anyway.. She takes another puff, slowly in- and exhaling the smoke to calm down more
After taking down a few waves of them, the Rio Grande detected more rapid movement in Kepler, just one system further. Logically we followed.
Arriving in Kepler, we noticed a Jump Hole, which is relatively stable for now and located in Sector C/D-7 . Thankfully there were... "brave" Libertonians there to just go through, showing us that the other side was not deadly. At least not immediately...
When we jumped through, we were met with an incredibly dense asteroid field with the nomad wave that the Rio Grande detected before. More non-scout bombers and two non-scout Marduks. I still haven't thought or heard of a specific new name for these kinds of nomads...
Anyway, the nomads were relatively close to a base from the "Cultists". Given the mining equipment on it, we decided to have a closer look at the rocks in the field, and lucky us, it was filled with the before requested Narcrahtite. I'll get right to checking out what can be done with this. She puts out her cigarette in the ash tray next to her.
So far I can only say, it's a very brittle mineral. Mining it was quite difficult, due to that exact property, but I managed to fill my hold, while the others kept the nomads busy. I wasn't very helpful in my Waran with all these asteroids around, anyway. I'm quite curious about the rumors regarding the spectrometer readings, but I'll report back, once I have something to report... Of course, Maria... goddamnit..
