4. Why are these changes necessary?

Auxesia has always held a firm belief that the technology they possess is far superior than that of others, yet hold true to the idea of ensuring all technology be archived for humanity's benefit. After rigarous field testing done by Tantalus, or Venator Spitz as his first officer, it was deemed that the Andraste's former weaponry was inefficient in combat, much like many of the other Order vessels they had encountered. Without an excuse or location to do the work to overhaul it, plus a lack of enough resources to swap the weaponry systems, Auxesia was faced with an issue.

However.

As The Bretonians reached out to mediate talks between Auxesia and the Republic of Liberty, they were met with an opportunity to do what was necessary, by bringing their newer, more advanced vessel up to speed with their combat specifications. Out with the old, and in with the new. The refit included stripping The Arktos (Cincinnati) of its equipment and weaponry for transferring to the Andraste, so that nothing in their possession would go to waste. However, a single hurdle needed to be made, as the Andraste had more primary batteries than the Arktos. Much like the Arktos' last refit, they needed to construct one turret to replace the fifth. With the resources having been delivered, it's now in the hands of the engineers of Auxesia, as well as the teams provided by Bretonia Mining & Manufacturing to ensure that the vessels do not occupy Southampton for too long, as they'll need the space - and the ships - to help keep Bretonian borders secure.
