Section III:Pilot History
Please provide a brief history of yourself.
I swore into the Liberty Marines as a combat medic at 17. A year later, I was deployed to Hudson with the 1st Medical Battalion. I saw combat, victory and loss, the latter taking 22 honorable men and women I graduated with. I was responsible for the deaths of several Rheinland combat soldiers in close combat.
At 20 I was assigned into the 1st Law Enforcement Battalion, stationed at Planet Atka. I saw two deployment the following years. I began flashing back to past memories. Liberty began making actions against all logic and I realized I was becoming broken. My friends were dying for a cause that seemed so meaningless. In my final deployment, my squad boarded a lone Outcast pirate transport in the Sitka field. Upon entering the vessel, three of us were immediately taken, the remaining six. Our captors were definitely on stimulants and wielded salvaged military arms that our company failed to retrieve from the battlefield. Without warning they fired again, leaving myself and another, Donovan, unharmed. A familiar face revealed herself as the captain of the Outcasts.
Carla was an ex-marine who served with me and Donovan as an infantryman. Without saying much, she took command of our gunboat and led the transport to the Rogue Dawson station. We were held in captivity for a month. Liberty didn't even try to rescue us. The motives of Liberty became very clear. We began working together. In the following years we engaged in raiding, smuggling, and defense operations against both military factions in the system. I later became addicted to Cardamine.
In a smuggling operation to the Omicrons, Carla, Don, and I slaughtered the crew aboard the cargo ship and headed to a shadowy Omicron system with a load of black market arms and heavy transport turrets. We stopped at a designated location off the charted map before men in gray uniforms boarded our ship and gassed us. We woke up on an unfamiliar planet in a turquoise haze of space.
We began training and were quickly briefed on the true motives of Sirius houses. Our pasts were to be left behind us in our daily actions, but we could see or military backgrounds in each other. Not long after our graduation in the Order's military, the system was hit by the Core. I evacuated ~4000 personnel to the adjacent system during the attack. Carla was in my formation during the evacuation while Don fought alongside the Order defense fleet. He made it back alive.
At the time of this application, I'm finishing up piloting school for a light-fighter class vessel and specialize in reconnaissance. A recruiter noticed my aptitude and recommended that I try out for the primary fleet.
