Overall, Im rather pleased with the new version. I think that the Discovery mod is on the right track

The inclusion of VIPs and Prisoners was a nice touch. Not only has it opened up many new and interesting traderoutes, but it also means that PvC is now worth the time spent.

A few comments:

I know that F1 is like cheating - but this option was left by Digital Anvil guys intentionally.
Besides this feature requres exe editing and there's no information about that from legal sources.

I fail to see how F1eng is cheating. If a great big battleship suddenly attacks me as my LT exits a tradelane Ill be F1ing immediately.

Using F1 to avoid being killed in PvP is not cheating its being a sore looser.

If someone asks me if I want to duel then I wont use F1 to escape. If I get ambushed while trading Im gone as fast as I can press F1 and Exit to Main Screen.

Besides, even if F1 was disabled, people could just use Alt F4 instead

I think it makes sense. Right now my LT is equipped with cruiser turrets and quite frankly its a bit silly


As for 4.77 I dont think that theres much left to be done.

Make capital ship weapons unmountable.
Perhaps increase the power of the freighter turrets to compensate for the loss of cruiser weapons? As it is now, a LT is fairly toothless
Just my personal opinion, but how about changing where the larger ships can be bought. I mean, realistically speaking, the only places where Freighters, Trains, Cruisers, and Battleships could be build are dedicated shipyards. How, for example, is Planet Harris supposed to build Trains? But thats not really that big a problem its just for the sake of increased realism
