Well I just submitted a form to the IRG, they're the organisation that will hopefully be helping me solve my cloaking device issues. I applied for one of their special powercores, since this Doctor Erzie fellow seems to think my issues could be power related. I dunno, it seems kinda typical, like the sort of thing that would happen when you ask a ship dealer for a good mechanic, but instead they just want to sell you a new ship. Either way, a new power core would be nice. Hopefully it helps, but if not, hey I have a new powercore I guess?

Though speaking of the cloak, it has been acting up more than usual lately. It doesn't often malfunction when it's actually in use, but a couple of times in the past week it's shut down for no reason, leaving me shieldless and exposed in a time when I probably don't want to be seen. Could use a once over once I finish writing this comm to see if there's any other issues with it. Even then, it's not the first cloak to do this to me, but it only happens on the Osprey, not my other ships.

Speaking of my other ships, I've been doing a lot of gear consolidation recently. Moving around guns, shifting armour plates, I even have plans to buy another old Osprey and use it as a bit of a test bed for new loadouts and stuff like that. They are pretty expensive though so I doubt I'll be doing it soon considering the amount of money I'm spending trying to get my current Osprey to work with cloaking devices, but I should have enough credits to buy it in a couple of months with my escort contracts and bounties (if they ever pay me, that is).

My Sabre has seen a lot more use recently, as my Osprey has spent a lot of time just being a shell and a mess of parts scattered around my hangar floor. I decided to go with the same blue paint and lights scheme on my Sabre as with my Osprey, and it looks pretty nice. I had a bunch of antique ship guns laying around so I threw those on a Scimitar I have loaned to me. It's a nice little ship, I might even buy it outright.

Anyway, hopefully I can get this new powercore to fix my problems. I really don't like the idea of this Osprey and cloaking device being a permanent pain for me, I really want it to all work out.
