I have been in contact with a "Geneviève Marie Mercier" who wanted information on the Proteus Tome. Choosing my winning personality over cold denial, I have been handed what is probably one of the most...dangerous bits of information I have found while working within Liberty and Bretonia. The transcript of Mercier's transmission is below.

Very informative, Signor. I suppose that, in the end, we're all the same when it comes to chasing what we devoted ourselves to. A bit of eccentricism on your part is 'ardly something I can blame you for, and it's likely just my blasé nature at this point that I find it a little yawn-inducing to listen to long exposés about nothing. Still, you are ruthless, and that does behoove you more than anyone else I could name. I more often than not considered whether I should consult professional help, because I find myself enjoying people trying to metaphorically gouge each other's eyes out in their little power games. Then again, that would be effort, and I really can't be assed to put some into this.

This must be handled delicately. These transmission seem...extremely authentic. I do not wish to jump into any battles I don't wish to, but...well. If these are iin facttrue...if one of our enemies are this close to us...Then we must act. I do not wish to risk relations with the Lane Hackers, but if we must...then I suggest we make sure we do it right the first time.

I will begin preparations and reconnaissance operations at once.

If this is true...then the Lane Hacker's willingness to be tested for Nomads....as long as they were below many of those we talk too... Jeremy pauses. What I am trying to say, Michal.

If Yoshida is part of the Cult of Sirius...the Oracles...than I fear what else could be lurking in the upper echelons of the Lane Hackers. We may have an anomaly; we may be seeing another Rheinland happen. As such, I need immediate support deployed to Coronado. Whatever can be spared from the Minor Defense Line, from Mu and Epsilon. Even if it's just ships - I will find pilots. I do not wish to use them...but I cannot shake the feeling this is just one part of the hornet's nest, a whole different nest from the one we dived into in Drake.

Once the RV-Cleopatra returns from extended duty in Bretonia, I will redeploy it to assist Ghost Eye. We have shown the Lane Hackers much trust. I think it's time we started gathering...insurance.
