Our quest for independence

The Gas Miners Guild has yet to recover most of its lost strength from its war with Rheinland. New young men and women of the Security Forces express great pride in wearing their uniform, and fighting for the protection of our people. Its gives me an extraordinary amount of joy to see such things as this. The council has ordered a handleful of the remaining ships to be stationed deep into the Crow Nebula. Most of the mineable resources left within the nebula is said to run out in a matter of years. Others are on search to find more resources the guild can harvest for its wealth. The guild still focuses the majority of its H-fuel shipments to the Kusari government allowing it to keep its monopoly among the houses. It has been decided the guild will not interfere with any house business, thats including seeking aid from local authorities. The threat of space terrorism has increased with the arrival of the outcasts and corsairs within the system. Their influence through out the nebula is not as strong as that of the guild. We battle these foes and often come out victorious. I fear we will need more arms before we can completely protect ourselves. But, observing the debris of Rheinland ships still floating off the mining area of Sigma-13. I also fear we will lose all morales and become what we have lost thousands to destroy.

Just the other day we lost another squadron to the barbarian mongrels which causes hell for the guild. The weapons and tactics supplied for the battle is just not enough to match their far advanced technology and life time of struggle. Our numbers are growing few with no hope in the dark universe for peace. Supplies are no longer getting to the people whom have begun to die from starvation, sickness, and lack of food. There its not much we can do without the guidence of the gods. Even though the battle with Rheinland has ended it feels we are still fighting wars. We're to far out from the guilds reach for day to day communication. The last message came a month ago, we have been ordered to continue our search. But for what, what are we looking for? Are we looking for a home, or are we looking for a means to last our ground for what has been our home for hundreds of years. In this region of space we have found nothing worth the attention and resources of our cause. There has been one direct place for our attention. A object on scanners what appears to be a station. We are heading there to investigate.
