' Wrote:That's exactly what it is, Laowai, a way to deal with people who can't RP so the people that can have clean space to play in. I will not stand for the 'Discovery Capwhore's Union' trying to shut us down because, simply, it is an Out of Roleplay organization and has no bearing as such as to what the 101st does. You honestly think you can just put yourselves above us like that? I really don't think that works...
The Discovery Capwhore's Union by the way.. is me, well... and the voices in my head, of which there are many, but essentially its me. I just called myself that cos i cant count the amount of threads i've been in now where i'm sticking up for Indy cap ships - someone has to, they are under represented on the forums and drowned out by fighter and bomber whores and they have just as much right to be here....
However....
So as to shutting anyone down, i never said that, all i made was vague references to picketing offices or some such rubbish, how anyone pickets an office on a forum.. is beyond me, but im a role playing indy cap whore, i could find a way.
Do we (I) honestly think we could put ourselves (myself) above the 101st like that, well.. i never said i did, i just said i would stick up for people and their right to fly what they like. Because nowhere in the rules does it say a faction can control what ship a player can or cant fly, especially if that player Role Plays it.
But Eppy... before you jump up and down at me... here is the catch:
In this one, you're completly in the right - if the ship in question is sold only in the guard system that the 101st has bought and paid for, then you have the rules on your side and the 101st can police the buying of that ship.
Thats a server rule people, the 101st owns that system, and so they have the right to say what goes on there. While i still support the right of a player to play in what they like, in this instance the rule of system ownership over-rides that.
I think the idea of blowing up the offending ships is a little uncreative, but thats just my personal opinion and has no bearing on any of this.
Suggest everyone buy a smaller ship that is available somewhere else.
The Discovery Capwhore's union (Myself and the voices in my head) will not be picketing over this one.
