You can meet us at Ames Research Station, or personnel may be dispatched to a location of your choosing to install the device.

Concerning your intended use, they take the place, or augment the current power grids your ship uses. As most heavy equipment, such as jump drives and cloaks, use fuels of their own independently, the grid in question should be adapted to provide specific power to the device.
