Reactor Analysis

Reactor analysis based on scans conducted in Inverness and previous analysis of the reactor system in the Monument-Class ‘Arktos’ have shown us that these reactors rely on inertial electrostatic confinement for power generation. A lack of conductivity is noted, but appears to be compensated for by a combination of magnetic confinement via electrostatic fields.

As anticipated, the reactor is specifically catered to optimize the Revenant’s existing equipment at maximum efficiency, and does not allow a significant amount of room for modification. Thankfully, our experience in working with a much older frame of a similar vessel will clear up many of the roadblocks we’d likely face if working from the scans alone.

The reactor is primarily focused on ensuring the function of the XV-800 Mk II Plasma Array for movement efficiency, and to avoid a significant heating issue. The direct integration of the system remains the largest concern when investigating possible ways to integrate EM-Wave Disruption technology, as routing power away from the primary engine could cause unnecessary issues in the future, primarily in terms of unexpected shutdown or catastrophic engine failure.
