The Experiment

As the hatch closes behind Silver and the transport rises into the air, he heard the impact of missiles against the ships shields, it was for this reason he had asked for a train class transport, as its shields and hull were the best of its class. Another few impacts rocked the ship and he felt her shake under him then droped to one knee because of his injury, two of his sisters came to him and suported him and they made there way to the bridge of the ship.

When they arrived his sisters sat him down against a bulkhead and one of them began to tend to his wound.

"So, my message got through in good time, i thought you wouldnt come at first, i was takeing a reckless chance asking you to do this, but i appreciate it never the less Ember. I just hope we will live through this, the whole of Kusari will be after us and wont let us leave easily".

As he looked up at the pilots chair, he noticed a Kusari fighter wing aproaching them head on, the fighters however were chased away by others, the heads up display superimposed over the transports viewscreen taged them as being blood dragon's and golden c's. The blood dragon fighters turned and headed towards a battleship and launched four torpedos at it. Three of the torpedos were destroyed by the battleships point defence cannons, but the fourth impacted on its drive section and its engines went dark and the ship began to drift to the side disabled, this opened up a window of opertunity for the transport to get away via the trade lane it was blocking...
