Good evening Chief of Police,

I am Officer James O'Brian, as you may be aware I have been off duty for some time and this was due to my wife passing away when she had our beautiful daughter. Chloe is my beautiful daughters name, but sadly my wife passed away six months after giving birth to Chloe. This is why I have been off duty for so long and I sincerely would like to apologize for that. I understand things are difficult with my role and position as a Officer of the Liberty Police Authority.

The reason I am sending this communication to you is to return to the field. I would like to come back and be the father my wife would want me to be for my daughter. My daughter will be growing up with no mother figure so it is going to be tough on her but with me by her side, and hopefully my fellow work friends, I will be welcomed back after refresher training.
